We teamed up with Discord for a special drop in honouring the Lunar New Year and in creating the cutest chibli inspired profile icons.

/ LUNAR NEW YEAR

The Year of the Snake. Inspired by traditional techniques like ink on paper, we aimed to capture a handcrafted feel through frame-by-frame animation. To reflect the rich symbolism of the celebration, we chose a color palette of red and gold, hues that are tied to prosperity and good fortune. The snake’s movement itself became a source of inspiration, forming elegant, luck-bringing knots as it weaves around the discord icons.

From the cutest lil sushi piece to an all-out anime battle and a magical girl transformation unfolding right on your profile, we set out to capture the essence of what is instantly recognised as anime. Brought to life with a blend of the nostalgic charm of classic '90s anime with a fresh, modern color palette and masterful compositing.
