It’s difficult to say how many people in the world are obsessed with both motor racing and Japanese animation, but one thing we know for sure is that several of these people are employed at The Line Animation Studio LTD. This project lands slap-bang in the centre of the venn diagram of things we love. We’ve spent the last 10 years honing our skills in the arena of 2D animated action, whilst simultaneously developing processes and tools that seamlessly mix hand-drawn and 3D animation. This was the perfect opportunity to blend those two approaches and showcase our passion and craftsmanship for these hybrid animation techniques.

The series takes us on an exhilarating adventure centred on Chiaki, a young driving protégé, and her wise uncle Noboru. When emotions heat up with Chiaki and her nemesis Erich at the local racetrack, Noboru steps in to mentor Chiaki as she prepares to put her family legacy on the line in the biggest race of her life.
