“The cornerstone of the film came from Jamie story-wise,” explains Max. “He doesn’t really write a script. He’s a very visual thinker and will kind of thumbnail everything out almost like a comic and then he’ll time it out. He has very particular ideas around certain musical cues as well. So that gives us key musical beats… Then we iterate and start to flesh out that animatic with more movement.”
