/ OVERVIEW

The Maybach is Mercedes’ most iconic luxury car, and we were flattered to be asked to help ring in its centenary with an animated film featuring illustrations by the equally iconic Ignasi Monreal. Our film tells the story of Maybach’s history, through a sequence of extraordinary living paintings, each scene beautifully opulent, surreal, and full of meticulous detail.

/ Process

We combined a suite of different animation techniques including 3D projection and interpolated frame-by-frame painting to bring Igansi’s paintings to life. Our team of painters, animators, and compositors brought a new level of artistry and technical expertise to the table, allowing us to create something we’ve never seen before.
